what do you want first? the good news or the bad news? or the bad news that has a good edge to it?

ok, here goes.

1. i got a haircut. perhaps the best haircut i've ever had in my entire life. good boy roomie's ex girlfriend cuts hair. i told her i wanted it shorter, but so i could still pull it back in a pony tail. but short. i told her i trusted her. an hour later i looked hot! and i had a renewed self confidence. so here i am with cute hair. can a haircut change your life? we'll see.

2. i lost my magical hat. but like some says, the magical hat went with the old hair. so now i must find a new magical hat. or just a had. because its freezing here in chicago.

3. i found out that the ex is moving out of her apartment. yes!...no. she will be off the street and not 100% out of my life, but i won't have to worry about running into her around the 'hood anymore...except at bars. so, yay! but it hurts. she is moving in with her new girlfriend. they've been together something like 9 months. it took us 2.5 years to decided to live together. and we never made it to that step. it just stings, you know. somehow. like touching your eye after you cooked a really great meal...with hot peppers. ugggh.

4. i have a crush on a girl, lets call her bassgirl. i thought she had snubbed me about a month ago. i'm not sure if that ever happened, or the supposed communication never actually happened- what with technology and all. anyway, i saw her on saturday night at a concert, and although i was a bit tipsy, i recall her saying "let's get together soon." yes, yes, i read into everything possible, but why say that to an almost complete stranger. why?
